Better decisions for a better world

The 2017 World Forum on Natural Capital combined lively and engaging plenary sessions, featuring high-profile and influential speakers. Thank you to those who joined us in Edinburgh to help shape a powerful vision for better decision-making.

In 2017, we chose three questions to kick-start the conversation. How do we support better decision-making? How do we put natural capital at the heart of the green economy? How can we create pathways to the Global Goals for 2030?

STREAM A: TAKING NATURE INTO ACCOUNT

Showcasing the latest case studies from business and finance, this stream will focus on the opportunities and risks connected with natural capital and examine the next stages in natural capital reporting.

STREAM B: IMPACT THROUGH INNOVATION

Find out how the latest cutting-edge innovations are being used to help governments, businesses and NGOs make better decisions for long-term impact.

STREAM C: CITIES OF TOMORROW

Examine the vital role of natural assets in the future design and financing of cities, and see how natural capital approaches are being used to tackle the 21st Century challenges of rapid urbanisation and climate change.

STREAM D: PROSPEROUS & RESILIENT ECONOMIES

In the transition to a greener economy, natural capital will play an increasingly important role in national and international policy-making. Find out how the principles of natural capital are being utilised to increase prosperity and resilience.
