Coordinator - Ecosystem Services Trends

Natalia Lutti Hummel is coordinator of TeSE (Ecosystem Services Trends), an initiative from the Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces) of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Brazil, that aims to create tools for ecosystem services valuation to support business management. TeSE has developed Corporate Guidelines for the Economic Valuation of Ecosystem Services (DEVESE), which provides methods for quantification and monetary valuation of business dependencies and externalities related to eight ecosystem services, and run ten pilots projects during 2014.

Natalia has a BSc on Environmental Engineering at SENAC University Center (Brazil) and MSc in Climate Studies from Wageningen University (Netherlands). She has been working with business management for sustainability in GVces as researcher in the Business for Climate Platform (EPC) contributing to the Emissions Trading System simulation project ( SCE- EPC ) and, especially, to the work line of Adaptation to Climate Change, developing tools , pilot projects and publications in the subject. Before, she has worked in Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, participating actively on the elaboration of GHG Inventories Verification Specification.
