Gaborone Declaration for Sustainability in Africa

Kim is the Technical Director for the Gaborone Declaration for Sustainability in Africa (GDSA) Secretariat, a platform of 12 African countries that are working towards sustainable development. Kim is a hybrid biologist and international development professional, who has used her skills to make a measurable impact on communities through healthcare, education, and conservation initiatives.

She earned her PhD from Temple University, where she focused on wildlife trade and conservation in Madagascar, including studies on how biodiversity issues intersect with food security and socioeconomic drivers of natural resource use. Prior to this, Kim was the Executive Director of a small NGO working to undertake education and healthcare initiatives in two African countries.
