Stefanie O'Gorman

Stefanie is the Director of Economics and Policy at Jacobs, one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of professional technical services, and has over a decade’s experience in sustainability, environmental valuation and economics.  Stefanie graduated from Trinity College with a BA in Natural Science, after which she completed an MSc in Ecological Economics at the University of Edinburgh.  Since joining Jacobs in 2002, Stefanie has worked in a broad range of roles across the environment business, on projects including benefit-cost analyses, cost effectiveness analysis and socio-economic impact assessments.  These roles have been within water management, infrastructure development, flood alleviation and in the areas of protected, coastal, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems.  Stefanie is particularly interested in improving decision making within both public and private sectors and promoting a wider accounting of the benefits and costs of sustainability decisions.
