Assaad W. Razzouk is a Lebanese-British clean energy entrepreneur, investor and commentator.  He is Group Chief Executive and Co-Founder of Sindicatum Sustainable Resources, a global clean energy company; an Advisory Board member of ASrIA, the Association for Sustainable and Responsible Investing in Asia; and a commentator on climate change, natural capital and clean energy.   

Sindicatum runs a global portfolio of clean energy projects located in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and the United States.  Sindicatum has to date committed more than $350 m to greenhouse gas reduction and sustainability projects and has won multiple awards testifying to its excellence in sustainability and renewable energy.

Assaad regularly writes for the Independent on climate change and clean energy issues; a selection of his pieces can be found here. He has also been published frequently by Singapore’s Eco-Business, and his articles also appeared in The Ecologist and Canada’s Corporate Knights. 

From 1993 to 2002, he was an investment banker at Nomura International plc in London, where he was last Deputy Head of Global Corporate Finance.  From 1988 to 1993, Assaad was at Price Waterhouse in New York City where his last position was as Manager, International Capital Markets.

He is a graduate of Syracuse University (Summa Cum Laude) and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
