Capitals and substitutability: a new approach to the Sustainable Development Goals

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have clarified the task ahead. However, much complexity remains and there are a number of different approaches being taken within business and government. Will these approaches compete? Or could they combine to drive progress towards inclusive green economies? One emerging green economy idea, and a potential milestone, is to adopt a capitals approach to the Sustainable Development Goals. In this session, pioneering research developed by the Institute of New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School will be explored and tested with an eminent panel from business, government and integrated reporting. Come and join us and help shape the conversation.
